StyleStruck Wants a Kitty!!

IMG_5593IMG_5592

I’ve only wanted a kitten for my whole life, and I may finally be getting one! That is if we can convince our landlord to let us get one. The building we live in is pet friendly, but the people who make the decisions around here have decided no new pets from now on. I was walking past the pet shop at the mall in West Vancouver the other day when I spotted this little sweetie in the window and I waaannt her, even though I know it’s much better to adopt from the SPCA. I’ve always thought a white and grey kitten would be adorable, and she is! (Kitten on the right).

  1. I’m know what pet store your are referring to. I caved and bought a Blue Point Himalayan from them last year. I bypassed the complimentry vet visit and took her to my own vet where we also did blood work. Sure enough she had a blood parasite that probably came from her mother. So even a $600 kitten can come with medical issues. I would never make that mistake again especially since our other 2 cats and a dog are all rescues. I would definately go with the SPCA.

  2. I totally agree. And when I do get lucky enough to have my own cat, I will definately adopt. Those little kitties need homes!

  3. Glad you do realize how much better it is to adopt from the SPCA.

The West Van SPCA is right beside Park Royal actually, pay them a visit, they not only have great adult cats but they often have litters of kittens as well.

People like the pet store at Park Royal need to realize what they’re doing is wrong. They breed these kitties and sell them for hundreds of dollars while there’s already unloved and lonely kitties you can have for next to free at any SPCA.
