I adore the use of colours; somehow it all works! Is Vancouver ready for this much mixing and matching?
Yesterday I wore a red plaid wool jacket with a big red scarf, a leather skirt and knee high leather boots, (so my outfit was pretty tame by my standards), but I definitely stood out. Vancouver women favor black like it’s the epitome of sophistication, how about the epitome of boring? I NEED COLOUR! I am starved for colour, (just like Andre Leon Talley is STARVED FOR BEAUTY! “It’s a famine of beauty!”)

Fierce!

That’s german for , “I love Halloween!” I dressed up as a fairly famous german man, you may know of him…

Karl-a Lagerfeld
And of course, I brought a date…

Karl and Karl-a (Tommy and Me)
This is by far the most fun I have ever had dressed up, being Karl is fabulous. I might start wearing brooches, ties and necklaces on a daily basis, Karl’s got a great thing going. These looks were about 3 months in the making, whenever the Valentino movie came out and Karl had that famous line…”It’s all rags”, from then, Karl was the only Halloween option. And the costume was fairly easy to put together, most of it is from our own wardrobes, the gloves and wigs I found at Dressew, and the vintage chanel-esque brooches are from True Value Vintage, and I can’t wait to wear them again! The necklaces are from Aldo. But finding just the right pieces definitely took some effort! Tommy and I went to a friend’s house party, here are some more pictures of costumes!

The Band!

Karl and I adored this costume because it reminded us of our Paris-Moscow Collection. Meet Judy!

The Karl, the witch and the Blonde. My mum, me and my sister Monika, as Bridget Bardot.
