ABOUT OLIVIA LOVENMARK

{ Wearing: Joe Fresh blouse & trousers, Zara belt and Ballin snakeskin shoes }

I don’t know what makes me happier than spending hours pouring over my computer, editing photos, writing posts and documenting ideas all in the pursuit of creating compelling content. I love blogging.

Born in 1988, I am enjoying the early years of my twenties (although it seems I am moving into the mid-twenties range at a pace that cannot be stopped – darn it), living in the downtown core of Vancouver. I grew up in many places, the latest of which was West Vancouver where I spent my high school years, developing a love for high heels and sewing, and often strutting through the halls of my high school in four inchers. My Mum instilled in me a love for good quality leather goods at a young age and I have since established quite a collection of shoes and bags, which are well displayed in my small office where the books must share shelf space with Kate Spades and vintage snakeskin clutches. When I’m not working on my blog, stationery line or one of about five other entrepreneurial pursuits, you can find me reading Vogue, baking cupcakes, shopping, sipping london fogs (or cosmos), galavanting about town with various fabulous people, or curled up with my adored furball. A.k.a. Marie. Life is good.

Fashion has been a necessary part of my life since I can remember, and has always been a must for my future. Out of this intense love of fashion my blog was born, three years ago, in April of 2009. StyleStruck has since become a true passion, at once giving me an outlet for creative free reign, for sharing thoughts and of course a platform on which to showcase my style. I truly appreciate all those of you who visit my site daily, or weekly, or monthly and share in my life and my thoughts.

Words and pictures are my fabric and thread and I get to create whatever I want. I used to be up til the early morning hours on my sewing machine carefully stitching away, I’ve traded up (a Mac laptop), and it’s been incredibly rewarding. Either way, “fashion is my happy place,” (that may be a Rachel Zoe quote, but it sure does ring true).

I hope you’ll continue to read, and if you have any questions please send me a note through the Contact Me button, or email me directly at olivialovenmark@gmail.com.
