Bonjour! Mon copain et moi vivons ensemble, and it is taking some time for us to settle in. We’ve merged our things, rather successfully, and now we’re discovering what “our” taste is. So far our taste is a fine balance between not too many mirrored surfaces (thanks to all the pieces I brought!) and natural textures like his oversized shades-of-brown tweed sofa (the best place to curl up after a long day), a large decorative wooden bowl and a few key woven baskets for accessorizing and hiding trinkets. Below I have captured a few of my favourite spots in our new home.
Hiding beneath our round glass table (also seen here in my previous home) is a basket purchased from HomeSense, holding our giant cozy throw for watching movies
Also on the counter, living next to the apothecary jar, is a savon plate from The Cross Decor & Design; perfect for holding jewelry taken off at the end of the day. Featured are my beloved rosegold Fossil watch and Stella & Dot eternity ring
The part of the bathroom counter I have taken over: This simple 3-shelf organizer from London Drugs marks the first time my make-up has ever been properly organized, and it makes mornings so much easier!
My go-to products (and favourite L’Occitane candle!), from top left: a large, extra-soft powder brush, Joe Fresh foundation brush, angled brow brush, Physicians Formula Mineral Wear, Chanel blush in 10 Tweed Pink, BonneBell eyeDefiner in 002 Aubergine, Lancome Pure Colour Eyeshadow in Amethyst, Bombay Brow Bar Hi-brow shadow in Ash Brown and Clinique Glow Crazy Powder Highlighter in 03 Gold Dust
Getting our home to our liking is proving to be more of a task than we had thought, but so worth it. Every new little addition and change makes it feel more like home and more like us.
02/27: I am so excited to be visiting a Fashion PR class at Blance Macdonald tomorrow afternoon to chat all things fashion blogging! My favourite part is always the question period, I hope they have lots! I’m also so pleased to say that tomorrow is George and my one year anniversary and after Blanche, we’ll be getting ourself some decadent treats, just you know, to congratulate ourselves on a wonderful year.
