Was a goodie. Most of it was spent inside my little sweet office filling card orders, spending QT with my laptop and doing home fixer-upper jobs. Like getting rid of boxes, decorating and painting striping the bathroom! Below, the week’s events with The StyleStruck Times: (a.k.a. The Life & Times of StyleStruck, or The Young & Ambitious, or All my Purses, or The Bold & The Fabulous or… any other play on a Soap Opera title.)

Sunday morning I met the lovely Erin Gee at Bel Cafe (at Hawksworth’s – so chic) for a london fog to discuss her needing Thank You cards for her upcoming trip to NYC. (She is now there, and my envy runneth over.) You know what I love about Erin Gee? The girl knows how to laugh. This works for me because I love to make jokes. Some are humdingers, and some deserve an awkward pause, but Erin laughs every time, thus making me feel like I am rather funny. This makes me feel good. (Thank you Erin.)

The LOVE + MARK’D cards that I designed for Erin to pass out to PR people in NYC. Cute, non?

Early in the week I posted these shots George and I took. It was cooollld that day. These H&M pants stand to be my very favorites this Spring season.

I spent a little time on Tuesday prepping tags for packaging brownies. Along with Sophie Collins (cook & baker extraordinaire!), I launched a Valentines giveaway for a basket of ten of her heart-shaped chocolate brownies and ten LOVE + MARK’D valentines to accompany them! (In addition to the tags shown above.) The giveaway ends February 13th, when the basket will be hand delivered to the winner!

Speaking of Valentines cards, you should get some! Just because we’re not in third grade anymore handing out construction-paper Valentines to every kid in the class does not mean your friends and fam don’t deserve a bit of glittery love themselves. To make this easier for you, I have designed a few cuties that are currently selling over at Barefoot Contessa! (As pictured below.)

I met two blogger gals: Alicia & Jen for some blog shooting, as posted. I wore one of my most loved pair of sunnies, these vintage Ray Ban Wayfarers.

I also posted that day about a 50% off JewelMint code I’m offering to you lovely readers. Considering that all JewelMint pieces sell for $29.99, I’d say that that makes for some pretty good shopping! Use code: winter1007 at checkout! (More details here.)

After dropping off Erin’s cards, I happened to pass by Zara. The thing about Zara, as I’m sure you understand, is that its pull is stronger than that of gravity. It’s a fashion force. All those glittering spring time frocks and silk blouses were calling out to me. I had to go in. Luckily for me, and my wallet, Zara is still holding a rather large sale. I picked up these raspberry snakeskin-esque flats for a very affordable $19.99! Score.

Coming off my new-shoe-high when I got home, I ambitiously decided to tackle our bathroom DIY project: painting stripes on the wall. A stripe tutorial of sorts (with video!) is to come on Monday. We chose Sherwin Williams Bluebell. I tweeted through the stages of the stripping striping: stage 1, 2 and 3.

And then I prepped for a certain couple of TV segments coming up…

And that brings us to today! I cracked my “Very Classy” book this morning and I’m in love. Derek is so perfectly witty and astute in his fashion-world observations. I particularly love his rule of being an entertaining guest at a soiree.

Have a fabulous weekend! And don’t forget to use that JewelMint discount code and enter for the Valentines Basket giveaways while you can! Bisous!
