Today is decidedly a dress day. Enough of jeans! This beautiful Diane von Furstenburg dress is another happy cast off from my sister’s closet from her Holts days. I love the mix of the red and pink, and the way the dress is structured is so gorgeous. I can’t wait to wear it by itself on a hot summer day with sandals. And of course, to complement the pink, I’m wearing my favorite Dior lipstick, #361.
Wearing: Kersh cardigan, Diane von Furstenburg dress, tights from who-knows-where, Rockport suede boots, Gianni Chiarini leather carry-all. Leather bracelet from a street stand in SoHo, NYC. Dior lipstick #361. I’ve got my hair pulled back today as I’m at the point between dye-jobs where your roots are just about unbearable. I am itching to get back into my colorist’s chair at Suki’s!

On my way out the door, I thought I’d snap a few photos of today’s outfit. I figured that if I was wearing something that felt semi-professional and fun, I’d feel motivated to check more of the to-do’s off of my long list. I’ve just sat down with a tea and my computer at a local Starbucks, so we’ll see if the outfit proves effective.
Wearing: Sheer ruffled blouse, a vintage metallic leather belt, Kersh cardi, Fidelity jeans and espadrille wedges by a designer who’s name I can never remember, vintage leather bag, Michael Kors watch, vintage gold ring.

Just as the weather turns grey here in Vancouver, I’m getting my wardrobe ready for sunny days galavanting around our fair city. One item in my closet that will be making many appearances this Spring and Summer, are my vintage leather high-waisted shorts. March through August, here we go:

I can’t wait for warm spring days and summer heat that makes you crave those drippy yummy cyclone popsicles from 7-11. I can’t wait for fresh peonies and iced lattes while strolling down Robson. I just can’t wait for all the new spring sandals at Zara and weekends away wearing them… Till then, I’ll be keeping cozy in shalls, leather and over-sized denim.
You may have noticed that I take most pictures in my apartment, this is because 1: I don’t have as much time on my hands as I’d like, so rather than spend a day out taking photos with a friend, I do it at home and 2: as much as I do take pictures of myself for this blog, surprisingly I really don’t like being in front of the camera, especially when there is someone behind the camera! When I’m alone doing it, I find I am able to be much more creative.
